The Restaurant Století is located in the historic centre of Prague at the intersection of Karolína Světlé and Konviktská Streets, opposite the Romanesque Rotunda of St. Cross, in the close vicinity of the National Theatre and Charles Bridge. It was built on the premises of former stables, the interior of which is still reminiscent of the preserved niches. It has been welcoming its guests since 1998.
The layout of the restaurant was designed with respect to the layout of the original space. The entrance bar area with fireplace is painted in earthy tones and decorated with paintings inspired by Rudolphine period. The bar is separated from the restaurant area by a pass-through room with a built-in self-service salad bar and a period wardrobe for storing outerwear. The 44-seat restaurant room is dominated by a wooden snake hanging from the ceiling, dating from 1858, which used to be the house sign of the pharmacy in Neruda Street.
